I have a confession to make… I used to have absolutely godawful security habits. I tried my damnedest to avoid 2FA, used the same mediocre password for everything, avoided updates, and literally used Windows 7 plugged straight into my modem via ethernet back in 2024/2025. But I’ve turned over a new leaf as of this morning. I updated to Windows 11 / 2FA a long time ago and have been actually installing updates, but I finally replaced my old passwords, replaced them with strong ones, figured out passkeys, and even added biometrics. Now that I’ve finally pulled the trigger, the most shocking thing is how easy it all is. Resisting the new features was so much harder than just using them. Signing in with my fingerprint is incredibly convenient, and the peace of mind I now have knowing I’m following all the recommended advice is unmatched.
